First, law enforcement searching for a kidnapped child discovers a terror training camp for children in the middle of New Mexico. Then, the remains of the kidnapped child they were searching for were found buried on the compound. The child allegedly died after a “religious ceremony” to cast out demons. And after all of this, a judge releases the men because she said they “weren’t a threat.” Now the compound is being bulldozed. What exactly is going on in New Mexico?
Earlier this month, law enforcement agencies looking for a kidnapped three-year-old child raided a New Mexico compound linked to “extremist Muslims” and discovered a filthy training camp built out of trash in which starving children ranging from 1 to 15 years of age, with no fresh water, shoes, or even access to basic hygiene items were reportedly being trained to conduct school shootings. Five people were arrested and eleven children were rescued from the equally vile and violent Third World-conditions of the camp. Unfortunately, the missing child, young Abdul-Ghani Wahhaj, was not among the children rescued. What police instead found was something out of a horror movie.
Siraj Ibn Wahhaj is accused of kidnapping his son in Clayton County, Georgia in December of 2017. The three-year-old child had been diagnosed with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy which rendered him unable to walk, prone to seizures, and in need of constant medical care. According to one of the children rescued by police, Abdul-Ghani Wahhaj had been denied his medication and had died in February during a botched “exorcism.”
When the compound was raided, Wahhaj was “heavily armed” and had been teaching the children tactical techniques in order to conduct terror attacks on schools and other “soft targets.” In addition to Wahhaj, the mothers of the malnourished children were also arrested, as was Wahhaj’s brother-in-law, Lucas Morton.
“[Siraj Ibn Wahhaj] poses a great danger to the children found on the property, as well as a threat to the community as a whole due to the presence of firearms and his intent to use these firearms in a violent and illegal manner,” said Prosecutor Timothy Hasson.
In a move that shocked everyone, District Judge Sarah Backus ignored warnings from law enforcement and ruled that four of the five accused men should not be held in pretrial custody, but instead be released on $20,000 signature bonds. Siraj Ign Wahhaj is being held on another retainer and is not being released, and one of the women detained is also not being released on bond because she is being transferred into the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), as she had been apparently living illegally in the United States for more than twenty years.
“The dangerous accused criminals in the Taos compound case should never have been released on bail yesterday,” said Susana Martinez, governor of New Mexico.
Any of the defendants who are released will be under house arrest and forced to wear an ankle monitor; they will not be allowed to possess deadly weapons or have unsupervised contact with any of the abused children rescued from the compound.
In another bizarre and illogical move, the compound in Amalia, New Mexico was partially bulldozed by authorities. The trailer that served as the main dwelling on the property has been seized, but apparently ammunition, bulletproof vests, and paperwork were left behind. It seems rather careless for authorities to leave such pertinent information behind…unless they want the evidence to go away. The destruction of the compound occurred on the same day that Abdul-Ghani’s body was found buried in a tunnel on the compound.

It is important to note that the father of the deceased child and the apparent ringleader of the group, Siraj Ibn Wahhaj is the son of a prominent Brooklyn imam who has been conclusively linked to the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, although he was never charged. Siraj Wahhaj Sr. was an unindicted co-conspirator in the terrorist bombing plan and “mentor, motivator, and encourager” of outspoken liberal and Muslim “activist” Linda Sarsour. Sarsour has a long history of anti-semitism and making other racist comments, as well as controversial statements such as calling for a “jihad” against President Trump. Wahhaj Sr. was a character witness for the “blind sheikh” Omar Abdel-Rahman, who was convicted for plotting terror attacks in the United States. Sentenced to life in prison, he died in jail on February 18, 2017.
Hopefully justice is served for these poor children, and the bizarre actions of the authorities surrounding this case do not put that in jeopardy.
