It’s no secret that California Gov. Gavin Newsom, an extremist who has mismanaged his state’s economy into trouble, has aspirations for 2028 or beyond when he could be a Democrat candidate for the White House.
If he would succeed, that would make his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, the first lady.
Presumably the FBI investigation into her taxes would be over by then.
It is the New York Post that explained in a report that confirmed federal authorities have not released what has triggered a review of the Newsoms and their filings, but a source told The California Post that one otpic has been Siebel Newsom’s taxes.
She has a nonprofit that promotes gender-ideology films that is “burning through cash with revenues drying up – a potentially concerning pattern,” the report said.
“An examination of the last five years of IRS filings for The Representation Project — the nonprofit Siebel Newsom founded to distribute her documentaries and promote gender equity initiatives — shows an organization increasingly dependent on donations while continuing to opaquely spend large sums of money to distribute Siebel Newsom’s films,” the report said.
“It’s very difficult to know how effectively the money is being spent,” suggested Gary Krausz, an audit partner, in an interview for the Post. “They could be paying [Siebel Newsom] $150K and she could be sitting on Instagram posting stories all day.”
The Post said the Newsoms and the film project declined to comment.
But it said, “For the last fiscal year ending in March 2025, The Representation Project reported paying Siebel Newsom $161,250 as the nonprofit’s founder and chief creative officer. That was a raise from the $150,000 she received in prior years, according to the nonprofit’s Form 990 filings with the IRS.”
The report said the payments appear to have gone to Girls Club Entertainment LLC, Siebel Newsom’s for-profit operation, which “has a history of failing to file legally required paperwork in a timelyway.
The “Project” also reported spending $1.75 million while receiving $1.24 million in 2024-2025.
That left assets at only $44,853
The report said the film projects have been “heavy-ahnded, progressive social crusades,” and have included titles, “Miss Representation,” “The Great American Lie” and “Fair Play.”
They simply haven’t gathered much attention anywhere.
The report said her latest film project features Hollywood superstars Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi.
