Op-Ed: President Elect Trump Better Live Up to His Campaign Promise on Climate Change

By Wayne McLaughlin:

November 22, 2016.  Uh-oh. You can’t let these politicians out of your sight – and the title of President-Elect confers politician status on your-self.  PEDT (President-Elect Donald Trump) told the New York times that, “there is some connectivity between human activity and climate change.

No, No, No, there is no connectivity, not even a tiny smidgen.  In the past, PEDT said that it was a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese.  Wrong again.  It is a hoax, or more appropriately a swindle, perpetrated by the U.N.’s IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) for scamming money from developed economies for the membership of the general assembly.

Man- made climate change is deadly serious with standard of living consequences for any country embracing this bogus ‘science’.  The bursting housing bubble of 2008 was a scape goat for the environmental sophists who used the voodoo climate science for political and personal gain while bringing the world economy to its knees.

The coterie of advisers and job seekers clogging traffic around New York’s Trump Tower needs to include at least one valid PhD type climate expert capable of keeping PEDT pointed in the right direction on this most critical issue.  That is not going to come from the Who’s Who in the Environmental Zoo who populated Obama’s staff of ‘experts’ on the subject. Environmental lobbies like Sierra Club, Greenpeace, et al are in the business of chasing grant money for their livelihood and a look at their web sites reveals that C level executives’ bios are filled with community organizing, political science and lawyering. Few to none of them are an acknowledged, peer reviewed PhD level climatologist.

Over half of the causes trumpeted on these sites have to do with climate, fossil fuels and evil nuclear power. Not one of them has contributed a single cup of drinkable water or treated a toilet flush which is left to the true environmental professionals no one ever heard of, at least in the mainstream media.

In one of her first acts as Great Britain’s new prime minister, Theresa May eliminated the Department of Energy and Climate Change.  A big benefit of exiting the European Common Market was escaping the heavy hand of EU climate fantasies. In his 2009 book, “The Real Global Warming Disaster”, British author Christopher Booker exposed the huge expense imposed by these carbon standards on Great Britain.

An equivalent move by the PEDT would be elimination of the Department of Energy and the Federal Environmental Protection Agency.  There was a time when the U.S. economy did just fine without them and it would be a significant swamp draining step.

Halloween has passed and it is understandable that Donald Trump wants to turn in his monster costume because liberals and the media are so easily frightened, but there are inconsequential things he can do like giving a pass or a pardon to Hillary. If he wants to be more than the typical Republican place holder like Nixon and Bush waiting for the next liberal revival, he had better take his campaign utterances as seriously as his devoted followers.
