David McCormick is fighting for the US Senate seat in Pennsylvania, a race that is not getting the press it deserves. What is at stake is needed leadership, providing jobs for Americans, not for those who wish to tear down our longstanding norms. In other words, a step back to normalcy.
If you didn’t know, McCormick is running against the incumbent, Bob Casey (a Democrat). The problem is that Casey usually votes in concert with the radical Democrat party agenda. Yet in the current race, with VP Harris at the top of the ticket, he seems to be running away from her policies fast. On the line are the following kitchen table issues:
- Illegal Immigration – Not once has Casey spoken out against the Biden-Harris immigration policies, despite how badly they hurt Pennsylvanians. The result: in places like Philadelphia’s Kensington Ave (like other cities throughout the US), fentanyl rages. It contains one of the largest open drug markets in our country – a visit will leave Americans shocked. People are shooting up drugs in the streets – all while police do nothing.
- 2nd Amendment rights – Bob Casey believes guns should be limited and supports restrictions on 2nd Amendment rights.
- Women’s rights vs LBGTQ rights – Casey supports men in women’s sports, such as Lia Thomas (a transgender swimmer for the University of Pennsylvania – UPenn).
- Israel – Some of the most radical and violent protests were held on the UPenn Campus – has anyone seen him supporting Israel? Despite saying he is pro-Israel, he endorses radical left Pro-Hamas Candidates.
- Aid for Americans – Casey has voted for billions in aid to Ukraine and support money to illegals at the expense of American tax-paying citizens. Citizens, veterans, and others are homeless. Hurricane victims get a paltry $750 from FEMA, all while illegals receive thousands in aid.
- Energy – Casey supported the Biden-Harris ban on fracking. This ban has cost Pennsylvania thousands of jobs, not to mention tax revenue. (Conveniently, Casey, like VP Harris, has said he has recently changed his mind).
What is at stake is a return to normalcy.
Pennsylvanians are pretty pragmatic and down-to-earth. For the last 100 years, they have farmed and, with ingenuity, created the steel, manufacturing, and oil and gas industries. The people have built our country into the powerhouse it has become. Pennsylvania has built the middle class in America through hard work.
As middle-class Americans, they worked to build a better life for their children. They sent them to ivy league universities built in the state—universities that were once the envy of the world. A degree from The Warton School of Business, or Penn State, was your ticket to success. If you wanted to define middle-class America, you would point to Pennsylvania.
If you wanted to define freedom, where else would it be but in Philadelphia, the home of the Liberty Bell and our treasured United States Constitution? Pennsylvania was one of the first states to completely abolish slavery hundreds of years before the Civil War. The people of Pennsylvania believe in justice for all, the hallmark of our country.
If anyone wanted to define what religious freedom was about, they would need to look no further than Pennsylvania, founded by William Penn, a Quaker. A man of integrity who, with others, built the state. Penn had a strong faith in God. a leader who came with others for the hope and belief of both liberty and religious freedoms. The Amish people still thrive in this state, a state that defines hard work and patriotism as its hallmark. Today, many of the Amish are under attack and feel encroached by the decisions of the federal government in their lives.
Pennsylvania voters demanding leadership – A leader who upholds the Constitution.
Pennsylvania needs new Senate leadership to bring jobs back, rebuild its manufacturing base, and provide a sign of a return to normalcy. Americans want someone who will put Americans ahead of other countries and respect our existing liberties. At the same time, they want someone who can look forward and build upon the kitchen table issues that seem to plague all Americans.
Pennsylvanians cherish the freedoms defined in the Bill of Rights. First and foremost, with the First Amendment—freedom of speech, and the 2nd Amendment, the right to bear arms. Yet Democrats consistently speak about limiting free speech; they talk of confiscating guns and removing the Electoral College, on top of using lawfare to silence their political opponents.
Dave McCormick, a Republican running for Senator, is against the incumbent Democrat Bill Casey. McCormick wants to usher in a new generation of leadership and normalcy back to Pennsylvania. Promoting new leadership.
Dave Mc Cormick grew up in Pennsylvania. He can be described as someone who is:
- A former Veteran and graduate of West Point Military Academy
- An expert on building wealth and bringing jobs back to the state
- A believer in our Constitution and free speech
- Supporter of the 2nd Amendment and the absolute right to keep and bear arms
- A strong defender of religious freedom, especially free speech
- Promises to close our porous border, which brings with it
- Loss of jobs
- Crime
- Drugs
- Lawlessness
- For the protection of our children, sons, daughters, wives, and grandchildren
- Protecting them from crime caused by drugs coming over the border
- From encroachment by illegals into our cities, usurping resources and jobs
- From the violent crime that exists as a result
- Ending drug cartel-run factions in our great cities such as Philadelphia
- From men competing in women’s sports
- A friend of Israel who believes that Hamas / Iran must be stopped NOW
- Won’t fund our enemies by buying their oil – found under our feet
- Educational values – and building America through a quality education system
- Believes states have a right to their own autonomy
Pennsylvania Forgotten and Ignored by Democrats
The men and women of Pennsylvania built their state from the ground up, building upon inhospitable land with hard work and a firm faith in God. Combine that with ingenuity, and it is easy to see how Pennsylvania could embody the American dream. If you wanted to find the term American Exceptionalism (which the Democrats and President Obama do not believe exists), you would start with Pennsylvanians.
Unfortunately, Democrats have failed to acknowledge the greatness of the State. Ignoring its greatness, turning Philadelphia into a Sanctuary city, accepting thousands of illegal immigrants into our city. As a result, it causes problems in the inner cities, trying to find the money to pay for all of this. The only way to accomplish this would be to put an extra burden on the people. It would be found in increased taxes to already highly taxed businesses and people.
Democrats are always constantly clamoring that “people should pay their fair share.” I have never heard of any Democrat who did not ask for more taxes. We already have a federal budget bloated with government inefficiency and a political machine hungry for more.
Conveniently, the incumbent, Senator Casey, has been silent about this. His response has always been part of the Democrat Party platform—raise taxes. However, it is clear that raising taxes only hurts every American. Higher taxes will only increase prices and cause inflation to rise, something the Democrat party has refused to acknowledge in almost 90 years.
When Is Enough Enough?
At what point do people ask when enough is good enough? The tightly held secret is that while you are told only the rich will pay, we know that there are not enough billionaires and millionaires to pay for everything. Eventually, it must trickle down (a term used by Democrats when they cut taxes) to the middle class, inciting class warfare. The middle class is already bearing the brunt of the inflation onslaught on their pockets. Adding to this burden is that they seem to have forgotten who the government works for.
Who does this policy help? Well, the Democrats and Senator Casey have been silent on exactly who this will help. Democrats are no longer the party of the middle class. They don’t want an educated workforce, so education standards have been lowered. DEI has become the norm, and a merit-driven economy has given way to equity for all.
The purpose is to flood the country with illegals, who will be sent to swing states to change voting demographics. It has already happened in California. After Ronald Reagan provided amnesty in the 1980s, the state has not voted conservatively since. The once beautiful state of California has been a haven to homelessness and crime. Remember that the richest people live there, and they are the highest taxed in the nation. Yet many of the celebrities who hate the Republican Party are not like ordinary people. They are fine in their gated communities, but on the streets of LA, where ordinary people live, the crime is difficult to accept.
It is absurd to believe that people should accept this as normal. No one asked the illegals to come, yet the taxpayers are expected to bear this incredible burden. At the same time, they take jobs away from every day American citizens, and jobs are sent overseas- something Senator Casey has been silent about.
Dave McCormick has only asked a simple question: WHY?
Why must taxpayers pay the bills the Democrats have imposed upon us without asking? While our deficit rises, the people of Pennsylvania are paying a steep price for illegal immigration, for people who were never invited!
Casey has allowed the Biden-Harris Administrations to open the floodgates and said nothing. Instead, voting for anything the administration wants. In their first two months, the Democrat Party watched as the administration canceled 73 executive orders allowing illegals to walk through, announcing that the border was open. During the COVID-19 scare, these illegals were allowed to walk into our country by the millions and not be tested or accountable for COVID-19 regulations. At the same time, Americans were forced to be sequestered, businesses closed, forced to wear masks and be vaccinated. Our children were forced to stay home from school, losing precious education hours and growth. The devastating effects of the lies we were told on our country are difficult to measure.
Three years later, taking no accountability—Democrats blame everyone but themselves for the results. Telling us to trust them with re-election.
Dave McCormick asks, Why? Why should we trust you again?
It is always the other guy’s fault
In the inner cities, our education and health care systems are overrun by the influx of people who care nothing for our laws and customs. Businesses are strapped, finding it difficult to stay ahead of regulations. Violent gangs run through the streets, and it is now difficult to walk the once calm and peaceful streets at night. Calls to defund the police resulted in lawlessness and sections of the city were unsafe and overrun by gangs. It has obliterated policing and caused recklessness to prevail. This crime bleeds into the bedroom communities and it affects every Pennsylvanian wanting to live a safe life.
While veterans go homeless and ordinary people strive to make their paycheck feed their families, our government finds ways to give taxpayer dollars to illegals, giving them housing, jobs, and sustenance on the backs of the every day Pennsylvanians who are struggling themselves, prompting Pennsylvanians to ask – what is my citizenship worth?
Americans are fed up with paying for these things when they are being told they need to “pay their fair share.” While hard-working Pennsylvanians have to work to make ends meet, the Democrats seek to raise taxes. Their jobs go overseas to China and Mexico. At the same time, countries send not their brightest and best but the worst of their society to our inner cities and suburbs, wreaking havoc on our citizens.
Dave McCormick asks Bob Casey: How can you let this happen on your watch?
Democrats’ hand in destroying Pennsylvania
However, over the last fifty years, we have seen our government policies attempt to destroy the great and proud state of Pennsylvania. They have destroyed the middle class that built this country. Democrat policies such as the Green New Deal have destroyed the oil and gas industries and prevented fracking and drilling for oil in our backyard. Instead, they want to import it from countries that have nothing but hate and contempt for the US because we are free.
The steel industry, which was the envy of the world with US Steel, a Pittsburgh based company, is a shell of what it once was. It has been decimated by trade agreements with NAFTA and China, and is no longer the dominant steel manufacturer. It has been obliterated. From World War II until the mid-1980s, if anything was built, it started in Pennsylvania. Not anymore.
Driving through once-thriving cities, they are left barren and empty. Steel towns disappeared. Oil jobs dried up, and manufacturing jobs, once the lifeblood of America, were shipped to China and Mexico. We don’t make enough in the US to be immune to China exercising control over us, any stop in supply will cause harm to the supply chain.
While all of this is happening, today, Mexico is partnering with the Chinese government to obliterate all auto manufacturing in the United States, by building the largest auto plant in the world just over the Mexico Border. If built, America will never build another automobile again.
Giving Bob Casey another term as Pennsylvania’s US Senator would spell doom for businesses in both Pennsylvania and throughout the United States.
Instead of sitting back while China and Mexico steal our jobs, as a leader, Dave McCormick will be proactive in building business profitability in Pennsylvania and throughout the rest of our country to fix these self-inflicted problems exacerbated by Democrat policies. Dave McCormick understands the burdens businesses face. As a US Senator, it is a guarantee that he will not lead from behind nor neglect the needs of US businesses.
What Democrats fail to understand is a concept made popular by John F. Kennedy in the 1960s. He believed tax cuts for businesses were good for growth, as he put it: “A high tide lifts all boats.” However, high tax policy destroys jobs and sends them overseas to foreign countries. The rhetoric of class envy resonates throughout their party.
LGBTQ Rights and Demonstrations on the University of Pennsylvania Campus
In Pennsylvania last year, we have had demonstrations in favor of Hamas and anti-Israel. Lia Thomas is the “winning” swimmer for U Penn – Lia Thomas is a man competing in women’s sports. Has Senator Casey spoken out? Cue the crickets.
Where has Senator Bob Casey stood on any of these issues? Well, if you didn’t know, Senator Bob Casey has an office at the University of Pennsylvania. Did he support Riley Gaines as she stood watching her trophy for swimming handed to a man who could not even compete with other men? Instead, he changed his sexual orientation (but not his physical attributes?) and beat women in the sport. However, since identifying as a woman, not only did Lia Thomas beat other female swimmers, but he also took scholarships away from women. In women’s volleyball, teams have refused to play against men and wound up forfeiting – while Senator Casey has been silent on the matter. Dave McCormick asks simply, is this fair? Why would he be silent? Dave McCormick, as Senator, would never allow this to continue.
Was Bob Casey out in the demonstrations supporting Israel, as he said they are an important asset to the United States? No! Yet he supports another Pennsylvania candidate that openly is running on the fact that Israel is responsible for the barbaric killing and raping of women on October 7th, 2023. Can anyone justify this brutality of innocent people?
Common Sense Leader Dave McCormick Needs Your Help!
There is much to digest in this essay, but keep in mind that Dave McCormick is poised to support the State of Pennsylvania’s return to its rightful place as the leader in this country. All that is needed is to move the obstacles out of our way. Everything is here in this State to lead the charge. There is no need to go to China or Mexico. It’s all here in Pennsylvania, and it always has been here. Everything needed to create the Renaissance in America to succeed is right here in our state.
As a Senator, Dave McCormick will never put Pennsylvania or America behind others. He supports Pennsylvania because he is one of you; he is the product of America and the son of Pennsylvania. David is not hiding behind any political ideology; he believes that America is exceptional, that the people of Pennsylvania are exceptional, and that they are the hardest workers in this world. Why, because he is one of you.
Dave is an example of what can be done when government gets out of the way, and provides people with support. With belief in yourself, hard work and determination, anything is possible, Dave has never left people behind. His promise: He will lead the charge. He will not lead from behind – because Pennsylvania deserves a leader.
His only ask of the people of Pennsylvania is this simple message:
If you believe in yourselves, in Pennsylvania, in America, vote for Dave McCormick. He will do what it takes for you to succeed.
