Washington’s WJLA ABC7 reports a person with a loaded gun inside a vehicle was arrested about a block from the White House early Tuesday morning.
DC police and Explosive Ordnance Disposal personnel worked together responding to reports of a suspicious vehicle around 2:30 am.
The occupant of the vehicle was charged with possession of an unregistered firearm and ammunition as well as carrying a pistol without a license.
Further information on the person’s identity or motivations has not yet been made public.
