President Trump Intends to Declassify JFK Assassination Documents

It has been over five decades since the assassination of then-President John F. Kennedy as he rode in the rear seat of a federal convertible-style limousine, fully exposed to onlookers gathered on Friday, November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. The legacy is that one of those onlookers, former US Marine Lee Harvey Oswald, was the sole trigger-man. Conspiracy theories were bandied about for 54 years and still have some periodic static.

JFK conspiracy theories were fueled further by Oswald being assassinated by Jack Ruby on November 24, 1963 as Oswald was escorted by FBI agents and local police officers. Ruby fashioned to murder Oswald before he could face trial for the assassination of JFK.  Pursuant to both shooters’ actions, the Warren Commission reasoned that both Oswald and Ruby acted independently and neither had skeletons in their respective closets.

Some rumblings are predicated on JFK refusing to send any of our armed forces to Vietnam. Thereafter the JFK assassination and then-Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson assuming the oath of office of the US presidency, Johnson wasted no time sending American military troops into the Vietcong. Some believe Johnson merely longed for the presidency and knew Texas politics like a fish knows water. Still others persist in their belief that Oswald was a decoy and closely-guarded political strings were tightly-woven regarding who is responsible for JFK’s death.

Department of Justice asserted “that no persuasive evidence can be identified to support the theory of a conspiracy in…the assassination of President Kennedy.”

Despite conflicting and allusory material (a second source of rifle-fire acoustics detected by federal investigators), the Department of Justice asserted “that no persuasive evidence can be identified to support the theory of a conspiracy in…the assassination of President Kennedy.”

That may cease relatively soon with President Trump’s announcement on October 21, 2017 that he is preparing to declassify and release a large batch of JFK files never exposed before, until now.

In an article published on October 21, 2017 by Dan Calabrese, he wrote “Wow. This could be gigantic. Or it could be Al Capone’s vaults. And since Trump apparently plans to release some of the files but hold back others because they contain information too sensitive to be unveiled, that could lead to even more conspiratorial theories that the real truth is in the stuff that was held back.”

JFK was a true pioneer, one who unselfishly recognized other pioneers in his time:

Lest we forget Dallas policeman J.D. Tippit who was shot and killed within the hour of the JFK assassination. It is believed Lee Harvey Oswald committed both murders. Others argue differently:

Despite some material releases and several documentaries analyzing JFK assassination details through the years, anticipation of newer nuggets may be abated if/when President Trump officially declassifies whatever yet-unreleased files exist.
