Many have wondered why GA Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger did not ensure a fair and accurate election in U.S. general election in 2020 and the Senate runoff in January. His strong relationship with the Chinese community in Atlanta, that has ties to the Chinese Communist Party, could be the reason.

One of the reasons we didn’t participate in the election in the past was that “one more vote or one less vote would have no effect on the outcome of the election.” But this time things are different. After the first round, Johns Creek’s 50th House District was down to two candidates: Brad Raffensberger and Kelly Stewart, both conservative Republicans whose political views were virtually indistinguishable. Only 2,500 of the 25,000 voters in the first-round district voted, and Brad trailed Kelley by only 26 votes.
Brad reached out to the Asian community this time to understand and listen to our voices. He visited the Downtown Chinese Dance and Cultural School the weekend before, visited Atlanta Modern Chinese School, which has 500+ students, last Saturday, and on Sunday he hosted 30 Chinese at his home to speak about his governing philosophy. As a city councilman, he also attended the award ceremony for my Boy Scout troop and spoke on behalf of the city.
According to statistical projections, we only need 100 Chinese votes to swing the election for Brad, who will represent our voice in the state legislature in the future. We have already made a promise to him to guarantee 100 votes. This is a great opportunity for us Asians to show our power, and your vote has never been more important.
