Russia as State Sponsor of Terror?

By Fox News

Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) said Tuesday that the State Department should work to determine if Russia should be labeled as a state sponsor of terrorism.

Gardner cited on “Outnumbered Overtime” Moscow’s support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime and the poisoning of a former Russian spy in the United Kingdom.

“[Russian President] Vladimir Putin understands strength and he capitalizes on weakness, and what the United States needs to do right now is show strength,” he said.

Gardner said within 90 days, he wants the State Department to make a determination in order to hold Russia accountable on a new level.

“I believe the State Department should make a determination of whether or not Russia is, in fact, a state sponsor of terror,” he said.
