It wasn’t just the Deep State.
According to Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes, the real betrayal in the January 6th “setup” is coming from inside our own house.
In an explosive, exclusive interview with 1776Returns.com, Rhodes claimed that key figures in the Trump administration are actively “covering up” the truth about January 6th—including the “at least” 274 undercover FBI agents in the crowd—and that they “should resign.”
His primary targets: Kash Patel and Dan Bongino.
“I really believe Kash Patel should resign,” Rhodes told me, not mincing words. “As far as I’m concerned, I think it’s beyond a doubt he’s compromised.”
Rhodes’s accusation stems from what he calls Patel’s “spin” following the disclosure of 274 undercover FBI agents.
“Kash Patel immediately spun it, and tried to cover for it by saying, ‘Oh, the FBI agents in the crowd were improperly used to do crowd control that day,’” Rhodes said.
He then cited Steve Baker’s analysis, calling that claim “100% bullshit” with “zero evidence” of any FBI agents assisting with crowd control.
“So why is Kash Patel saying that?” Rhodes demanded. “Because he’s obeying orders to cover it up. There’s no other explanation… So far his fruits have been cover-up and spin.”
Rhodes’s disappointment extends to Dan Bongino, another figure he said he listened to “almost every day” in solitary confinement.
“It’s telling that the disclosure of 274 FBI agents… was not by Kash Patel or Dan Bongino,” Rhodes pointed out. “What’s Bongino doing? If Bongino knows the truth, he should open his mouth and say something. He really should… or resign in protest.”
Rhodes warned that silence is complicity. “You can’t just sit on your hands in that position and help the bad guys run the clock out on the Trump administration, which is what’s happening.”
These accusations are part of Rhodes’s core claim that J6 was “a complete setup” and a “false flag operation” from the beginning.
He pointed to the recent “credible” reporting from Steve Baker alleging the J6 pipe bomber was a Capitol Police officer.
“I’m not surprised at all,” Rhodes said. “I think the FBI was covering that all along. And that cover-up has continued on into the current administration, sadly.”
For Rhodes, the fight isn’t just against a corrupt DOJ, but against the “compromised” figures inside the MAGA movement who are preventing a full accounting of the truth.
