BOCA RATON, Florida – A 26-year-old science teacher at Donna Klein Jewish Academy in Palm Beach County is facing serious charges for allegedly having sex for months with an underage female student in a classroom, in his office and at his home for months.
Elias Gordon Farley is charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor and offense against a student by an authority figure for having multiple sexual encounters with a 16- to 17-year-old student. He has since been fired by the private school.

The Boca Raton Tribune reports: “According to investigation records, the relationship began with frequent, non-physical conversations about topics like psychology toward the end of the previous school year. Over the summer of 2025, communication allegedly continued through a shared Google document accessed via email, where the two exchanged entries in an effort to avoid leaving a traceable digital trail on their phones.”
The pair allegedly communicated in code, with phrases such as “1120 words” purportedly meaning they would meet at 11:20 a.m.
The Tribune also reports: “The physical aspect of the relationship reportedly began around mid-September, approximately one and a half months into the current school year, after the student started staying late at the Boca Raton campus to work on college applications. The student described multiple incidents of physical contact and sexual acts occurring both in Farley’s office and in a small classroom adjacent to the science lab. Records allege that in late October 2025, the student and Farley engaged in intercourse on school grounds …
“The relationship allegedly continued off-campus, with the student reporting overnight visits to Farley’s apartment on at least two occasions in early November. Further corroboration for the investigation included the student showing an art teacher bruises and bite marks on her body, which she alleged were caused by Farley … .”
Donna Klein Jewish Academy sent WPTV-TV in West Palm Beach a statement regarding the incident, indicating:
“Donna Klein Jewish Academy is aware that one of its former teachers, Elias Farley, has been arrested for alleged unlawful sexual activity with a minor and offense against a student by an authority figure. The school is cooperating fully with law enforcement.
“This is a difficult time for all of us at Donna Klein. We are approaching this serious situation with the utmost care, keeping the well-being of our students, faculty, and families at the forefront. We are steadfast in our commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for everyone in our school community.
“DKJA will be working closely with all students, faculty and staff to provide resources and support where needed and to ensure a safe, compassionate and educational environment for all to continue to learn and thrive as we navigate this difficult time together.
“Because this is an ongoing matter and out of respect for the privacy of our community, we are unable to provide further detail regarding this matter at this time.”
Online journalist Mario Nawfal called Farley a “monster” who groomed the girl for sex, as he noted: “A trusted educator at a private Jewish academy weaponized Google Docs to prey on a child in the very classrooms meant to be safe, shattering a community already on edge from rising antisemitism.
“The months-long abuse under everyone’s nose exposes gaping supervision holes, while the school’s ‘utmost care’ statement rings hollow after cameras and bruises finally blew it open.
“Another predator in a position of power, and another institution scrambling after the damage is done.”
