“What seems not to be understood about ‘the religion of peace’ is that ‘peace’ comes only after the entire world has been converted to Islam.”
Despite ISIS being pushed out of their strongholds, and the battles (conventional) winding down, it is important to not forget about Jihadism. With the ever-changing news cycle, ISIS stories are not front and center any longer. We in the U.S. are distracted by the latest scandal or leak by the current Trump administration. It is evident the main stream news agencies would rather report on those stories.
What has not been reported, and is growing like a cancer in the background, is the acceptance of radical Islamic ideas here in the U.S. We are constantly told Islam is a religion of peace. That is a true statement, but one must understand the context.
To see this, we must look at the world around us. Europe has enacted a policy of inclusion of Islam and Islamic refugees, and the result is a loss of control of their countries. Several countries, Germany included, are now battling an underground government and legal system based on Sharia law. The police have lost control of large portions of the country. The German judicial system has bowed to the pressure to remain politically correct and no longer functions properly.
France has areas that women cannot even safely go into for fear of radical Islamic Sharia retribution. These are called “No Go Zones.” Even though the mayor of Paris has denied that it is the case, news and law enforcement have verified the loss of public safety and government control. Many other countries are in the same conditions or quickly approaching them.
England has long been a welcoming state for refugees, and the Parliament has repeatedly voted against strong measures to curb the rise of radical Islamic propaganda. In a report just released by the English Government, British intelligence officials stated that they had identified 23,000 jihadist extremists living in the U.K., all of them considered potential terrorist attackers.
For years now, radical preachers, terrorist recruiters, and fundamentalists who openly hate the U.S., its democratic values, and its tolerance for all faiths, have walked the streets, campaigned on university campuses, and converted and radicalized young men and women. What seems not to be understood about “the religion of peace” is that “peace” comes only after the entire world has been converted to Islam, so that a “Dar al-Harb,” the “Abode of War,” will no longer even exist.
Here in the U.S., we are following the same path as Britain.
Imam Ammar Shahin of the Islamic Center of Davis, California made very clear he expected Muslims to take up the radical cause. His remarks are below:
By Allah, the Prophet Muhammad told us, in many narrations – and there is no time to list all of them now – that prayer is the strongest weapon that Muslims have. By Allah, brothers, it is stronger than the weapons of the Jews, the deceit of the Jews, and their wickedness. The Al-Aqsa Mosque is besieged, and there are no prayers in it. Those wicked Jews are prohibiting prayer there. Oh Allah, count them one by one and destroy them down to the very last one.
He is not the only Islamic Imam to actively preach about how Islam must destroy all other religions. Abu Ammaar Yasir Qadhi, a Memphis Imam, based in Tennessee, preaches openly about what Islam truly is.
In fact, part of Yasir Qadhi’s preaching includes rhetoric that says non-Muslim’s lives are forfeit and their property is legal for Muslims to take in jihad. That property would include women as sex slaves. Recently, Yasir Qadhi said that “Jews and Christians are filthy, their lives and property can be taken in jihad by the Muslims.”
What has happened in Europe and the U.K. is the acceptance of radicalized ideas. The view of political correctness and the fear or stigma of being labeled as Islamaphobic has handcuffed efforts to control what has become outright rebellion.
Here in the U.S., we are following the same path and the radical factions of Islam know it. All one has to do is raise the Islamaphobic label and all efforts to halt radicalization are stymied. As we in the U.S. bend to political correctness, and throw common sense out the window, we will open the door to a radical Islamification of our way of life. It is already happening, and we are doing little to stop it. Like an ostrich with its head in the sand, we don’t want to see the danger and assume it is not there.
We can be the ostrich with our head in the sand or the proverbial frog in the pot of hot water.
The media, and many politicians, will tell us that there are very few Islamic terrorist activities and events here in the U.S. We are told again and again how the claim that radical Islam is a danger is false, and that it just is a talking point of bigoted conservatives. We are being lied to. We are being told a falsehood either on purpose, or by those that do not have the backbone to say what they know to be the truth.
Are all Muslims bad? Of course not. Are all terrorists Muslims? No. But look at all the terrorist attacks around the world and those here in the U.S. With a very small exception, those attacks have all been tied to radical Islam. The sooner we admit to ourselves what we already know, the sooner we can start to do something about it.
We all should remember the statement by ex-Homeland Defense Secretary Kelly when he said in April:
The FBI has “open terrorist investigations in all 50 states; there have been at least 37 ISIS-linked plots to attack our country since 2013, a number that shows no signs of diminishing.”
This is a list from the FBI of counter-terrorist actions over the last 30 days. Every one of the above FBI arrest and actions were cases that involved radical Islam.

It is clear we cannot count on the mainstream press to address this issue. They are pushing the rhetoric of political correctness and frankly, in some instances, the rhetoric of radical Islam. It’s not that they are spreading propaganda, but they are complicit in not reporting the problems. They are unwittingly (I hope) helping the radical Imams, and those that support them, by being careful not to step on any toes.
We can accept this or we can choose to educate ourselves and recognize what is happening all around us. The alternative is to do nothing. We can be the ostrich with our head in the sand or the proverbial frog in the pot of hot water. We can convince ourselves that there is no radical Islamic terrorism here.
We can follow the policy of the last President and refuse even to say the words. We can happily go the way that Europe and Sweden and so many other countries have chosen and watch our way of life disappear. But we cannot continue to sit back and wring our hands and hope it will all be fine — it won’t. If we do that, by the time we wake up and figure out what is happening, it will be too late.
