Kimberly Guilfoyle, the U.S. ambassador to Greece, quit her position Tuesday at the request of the White House, but not without firing back against reports she asked a donor to President Trump to pay off her $100,000 credit-card bill.
“These allegations are false,” Guilfoyle said in a lengthy post on X Tuesday, “and I intend to vigorously defend my name, my reputation, and my integrity.
“I have dedicated my professional life to fighting for justice, standing up for what is right, and defending the values that make America exceptional. I will not allow false accusations to define my decades of public service.”
Serving as the United States Ambassador to Greece has been the honor of a lifetime. I will forever be grateful to President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio for entrusting me with the extraordinary privilege of representing the greatest country in the history of the world.
From my first day as Ambassador, I have worked tirelessly to advance President Trump’s America First agenda, strengthen our strategic alliance with Greece, and deliver meaningful victories for the American people.
During my tenure, we have helped secure historic agreements to expand American liquefied natural gas exports to Europe, advanced the Vertical Corridor to reduce Europe’s dependence on Russian energy, strengthened our defense and security partnership with a critical NATO ally, and expanded opportunities for American businesses and investment throughout the region.
I am especially proud of the role our Embassy has played in strengthening American energy dominance, advancing economic cooperation, and ensuring that the United States remains the indispensable leader in Southeast Europe.
These accomplishments are a testament to President Trump’s bold leadership, Secretary Rubio’s commitment to American diplomacy, and the extraordinary men and women who serve our country every day.
I also want to address the recent allegations against me. These allegations are false, and I intend to vigorously defend my name, my reputation, and my integrity. I have dedicated my professional life to fighting for justice, standing up for what is right, and defending the values that make America exceptional. I will not allow false accusations to define my decades of public service.
My gratitude and respect for President Trump and Secretary Rubio remain unwavering. I am proud of what we accomplished together, and I will always be a loyal supporter of President Trump and his mission to Make America Great Again.
While my time as Ambassador may be coming to an end, my commitment to President Trump, the America First movement, and the country I love will never end.
It has been the honor of my lifetime to serve the United States of America. My deepest heartfelt appreciation to the people of Greece for their hospitality, partnership, and welcoming me with open arms. God bless President Trump, God bless our incredible diplomats and service members, and God bless the United States of America.

President Donald Trump told reporters Tuesday he did not personally speak to Guilfoyle, and added “she was doing a good job, but we didn’t like what we were reading.”

During her first-ever news briefing on Tuesday, as WorldNetDaily reported, White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia announced the Trump administration was seeking the resignation of Kimberly Guilfoyle as U.S. ambassador to Greece.
Elina Shirazi, a reporter for the Daily Mail, asked Zacharia: “On Kimberly Guilfoyle, the Daily Mail has been reporting on her since last year, the president said yesterday to reporters that he is considering firing her.
“Do you know a timeline for that, and also, potentially, who could be on the short list to replace her if he does?”
Zacharia responded: “We have asked Ambassador Guilfoyle to resign. She has been a wonderful asset to the team, and we wish her well.”

Guilfoyle, the former fiancée to Donald Trump Jr., was caught asking a President Trump donor to pay her $100,000 American Express bill.
Fox News reports: “Before becoming U.S. ambassador to Greece, Guilfoyle reportedly asked donor Eric Deters to pay off her $100,000 AmEx credit card balance shortly before her Senate confirmation hearing, with messages suggesting the payment could be made without a paper trail.
“Deters says he never sent the money, and Guilfoyle’s attorney has disputed the authenticity of the messages.”
The jet-setting former face on the Fox News Channel has also been criticized for promoting multi-billion-dollar natural gas deals across Europe and the Balkans.
BREAKING: President Trump is asking U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle to resign following allegations involving a $100,000 credit card bill and luxury travel funded by Greek businessmen.
The move comes just one day after Trump publicly expressed frustration with Guilfoyle, telling reporters, “We’re not happy.”
According to The Wall Street Journal, Guilfoyle allegedly offered to use her connections inside the Trump administration to help secure payment of her personal credit card bill. She also reportedly boasted about luxury travel paid for by two Greek tycoons.
The State Department’s inspector general is looking into the allegations. Guilfoyle’s attorneys deny wrongdoing.

AMBASSADOR IN THE CROSSHAIRS: “If the President of the United States is asked about possibly firing you and the President says he’s not happy with you, probably not going to end well for you… when someone in that administration, especially someone down the line like an ambassador, is causing so much embarrassment and distraction to the administration, the stories have been ugly, and bad press for her, for the administration… they might just decide it’s not worth this anymore.” @guypbenson
“There is a reason why administrations both Democrat and Republican, tend to put high dollar donors in ambassadorships. These are difficult jobs that require a lot of money. These allegations that are coming out don’t sound good and regardless of whether you’re wealthy or not wealthy people should go into public service not to benefit their bottom line or to increase their roledex.” @MZHemingway
