Twitter will donate $1.59 million to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in response to President Trump’s executive order on immigration.
Employees of the tech company raised $530,000, according to a report by BuzzFeed, which was matched by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and executive chairman Omid Kordestani.
“The Executive Order’s humanitarian and economic impact is real and upsetting,” Dorsey tweeted on Saturday. “We benefit from what refugees and immigrants bring to the U.S.”
