UN Pushes for Restrictions on American Free Speech

By: - June 19, 2019

Okay look, I am not a loon who goes on about how the UN is such a threat to our country. Alone, it’s not. Mainly because the corrupt elite of the global diplomatic corps, who couldn’t figure out how to get a decent table at Nobu much less do us any lasting damage, staff it.

Thus when I read that the UN SecGen, one of the rotating non-entities who heads the joint, wants to combat “hate speech” in America, I usually yawn. Sure pal, go for it. Lotta good it’ll do you. But this time, the little diplorodent’s phraseology was different and it gives me room for pause.

It does because his list of maladies is right out of the U.S. Dem’s Orwellian playbook. Of course, I don’t have to tell you that the whole concept of “hate speech” is inherently fascist because what is hateful to me may not be to you and vice versa. So it’s a completely subjective choice based on personal and ideological bias that flies in the face of free speech, the Bill of Rights, and the U.S. Constitution. Not that the Dems care about any of that. That’s why the left uses the idea to try and stifle speech they don’t like.

UN Chief António Guterres, sending dog whistles to his Bolshie pals, wants us to work on “xenophobia” (he means Trump’s excellent border policies), “racism” (Trump again, no evidence to speak of), “intolerance” (from the most intolerant of Israel, and the West in general, of international bodies), “misogyny” (uh-huh, he means you know who), “anti-Semitism” (right, sure, their buds Hamas will just love that), and, oh what could it be…hmmm…oh yeah…”anti-Muslim hatred.” The last one surpasses all others for them, no matter the facts.

Think about it. All those are the exact same charges the Dems level against the president. The. Same. Ones. And it’s not because it’s so obvious or great minds think alike.

It’s because the international hard left is aligning their script with the Dems for 2020. For them to tell us, and others, to desist in their version of the authoritarian concept of “hate speech” is not only brazen, but perhaps bespeaks a confidence that they may have a shot at enforcing their threat.

That only happens if Trump loses and a Dem gains the presidency. Hence their presumptive message alignment. Also hence my newfound concern not really of UN power, but what domestic Dems could possibly do with the extra international help.
