A watchdog has confirmed what whistleblowers already had charged, that workers with Joe Biden’s Federal Emergency Management Agency broke federal law in order to hurt supporters of President Donald Trump following Hurricane Milton.
The evidence shows while checking on people and their needs, they simply skipped over homes if there was a sign supporting Trump.
A report in the Hill said the confirmation is from the inspector general’s office of the Department of Homeland Security.
Confirmed is that federal workers skipped 11 Florida homes where there were indications of support for Trump.
The report said those actions “eroded public trust in FEMA’s ability to treat everyone impartially, offer unbiased and consistent assistance, and ensure equal access to resources and tools.”
Such political actions are in violation of the federal Hatch Act.
A report from the Gateway Pundit said the watchdog blamed the failures on “training, documentation, and oversight.”
But, the report said, “that is the polite, bureaucratic way of saying Biden’s FEMA treated MAGA households like the enemy while they were still digging out from a Category 3 hurricane.”
The publication previously reported was it that FEMA supervisor Marn’i Washington who instructed relief workers to “avoid homes advertising Trump.”
Workers’ notes on the topic said, “Trump sign, no contact per leadership.”
Washington was later fired even though she claimed the practice was not unusual and FEMA workers were taught to avoid potentially hostile situations.

The U.S. Office of Special Counsel subsequently filed a Hatch Act complaint against Washington. Its investigation determined that she repeatedly instructed subordinates not to visit properties displaying Trump campaign signs and used her official authority to interfere with or affect an election, the report said.
According to the Hill, the misbehavior “became a political flash point at the time and stoked significant GOP scrutiny of the disaster response agency. Trump eventually called for abolishing FEMA, though he later pivoted for trying to downsize it and limit aid given to states.”
The federal Hatch Act puts boundaries on federal employees’ political activities while acting in their official capacity.
Officials say such visits no longer happen, as the agency now delivers support “from fixed locations determined by state and local officials through a data-informed approach.”
