According to a report by Reuters, firefighters battling a raging wildfire in southwestern Colorado face continued hot, dry conditions and gusting winds on Tuesday, with rainfall relief not expected until this weekend. Approximately 2,150 homes have been evacuated since the fire began on June 1st, with residents of another 500 homes told to prepare as they too might have to evacuate. The US Forest Service said that temperatures were expected to reach the mid-80s with winds up to 25 miles an hour on Tuesday. Firefighters reportedly said on Monday that full containment of the so-called 416 Fire was not expected before the end of the month.
