U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team, 3rd Battalion 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit conducted machine gun firing tests with the Browning M2 .50 caliber machine gun and the M240G Medium Machine Guns at the Central Training Area, Okinawa, Japan. The training was designed to verify the operational effectiveness of the unit’s weapon systems and to improve the unit’s skills operating machine guns.
