President Donald Trump’s approval rating remains steady. For the past 66 days, Trump’s approval rating has been between 40.0 % and 42.1%. His rating among Republican voters remains high, between 85-90%. Silver theorized that early approval rating stability doesn’t always last. He also said impeaching President Trump would not be easy. He claimed that if Trump’s numbers rose it would be hard to beat him in 2020. “Since Trump’s approval ratings are low to begin with, he might have more room to go up than down.”
