Pulse Night Club Shooter’s Wife On Trial

OpsLens Video

A friend of Pulse gunman Omar Mateen may invoke his Fifth Amendment right not to testify in the trial of the shooter’s widow, Noor Salman, court records show.

The friend is identified in court records only as “Nemo.” His lawyer told Salman’s attorney last week that he won’t testify but would not say why he was invoking his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.

Salman is accused of aiding a foreign terror organization and lying to investigators. Her trial is scheduled to begin March 1. Mateen killed 49 people at Pulse nightclub, south of downtown Orlando, in the early hours of June 12, 2016.
