Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon has launched a scathing attack on George W Bush, portraying him as a buffoon whose presidency was as “destructive” as any in American history.
Bannon’s speech was the latest salvo in an ongoing effort to attack the already unpopular GOP leadership in Washington. It also fuels added speculation that Bannon is on the path to establishing a network of his own consisting of Trump loyalists and as a means to fracture the “Establishment” Republican party once and for all.
