A Florida trooper recently administered a roadside test to a big-rig trucker, but it had nothing to do with driving under the influence.
Video of the encounter, obtained by Fox News, shows the officer testing the man with a simple road sign … to no avail.
“For 40 years, I drove in Cuba,” says the trucker finally, in Spanish.
Eventually, the officer tells the driver he is being “placed out of service.”
After several deadly accidents involving immigrant truck drivers, some of whose English skills are quite poor, government officials on the state and federal level have taken action to crack down on licensing systems.
