‘We are so back’: D.C. Reflecting Pool is reflecting again, and even Dems admit they like it * WorldNetDaily * by Bob Unruh

One of President Donald Trump’s Washington fix-it projects from his construction management desk in the White House has been the cleanup, fix-up and refilling of the Reflecting Pool on the National Mall.

It’s just about done now, with the refilling process under way and expected to be completed in a few days.

And even Democrats are admitting it’s great.

“I thought it was a stupid idea to paint the Reflecting Pool, but it looks really good. It makes the reflection look extraordinarily prominent in a way it did not before, and I hate that,” one Democrat admitted on video.

Web images confirm that the reflections, of the Washington Monument one direction and the Lincoln Memorial in the other, are prominent.

A USA Today report said the project is, in fact, behind schedule, but still will be refilled by Sunday, and then there will be work on the path alongside the pool, which is supposed to finish by July 4.

The Hill reported the work was much more than just a “paint job,” as critics have claimed.

Trump pointed out that was the Washington Post’s “malicious” description.

“This was not a paint job. This was highly sophisticated material, industrial strength, that could last for 100 years, applied by very talented people, many of whom came from the Great State of Oklahoma, where I won 77 out of 77 Counties, THREE TIMES, the only President to ever do so,” Trump said. “The material is thick, strong, flexible, and has a natural, beautiful color, the dark blue of the American Flag!”

The $13.1 million project was funded partly by National Park Service entrance fees.

One critic was the Cultural Landscape Foundation, which sued, claiming the blue finish altered the site’s character without the proper authority.

Supposedly altering the site’s character, also, would be the garbage the Trump project removed from the basin, as Trump confirmed the project removed 12 truckloads from the site.

Trump just recently announced plans for a new promenade to serve as a walking path from the Lincoln Memorial to the Potomac.
