These 20 Celebrities are Avid Supporters of Our Troops and First Responders

Keyshia Cole follows the many class acts that have made personal contributions to the United States military.  While on tour, the R&B singer took time to appear on military installations that were located along her tour route.  This is especially commendable because for performers on tour, their work can be grueling.  In addition to putting on free concerts, Keyshia Cole also met with several service members to express her gratitude for their service.

She has also made tickets to her performances available at a discount rate for all military members and first responders.  Many celebrities who participate in the USO program’s appearances for the military are often incredibly humble about donating their time for the military community.  Keyshia Cole is no exception, and her work speaks for itself.

Chairman of the WWE Vince McMahon is a known supporter of the military and causes supporting service members.  Through his work with the WWE Tribute to the Troops show, Vince McMahon has participated in bringing shows overseas to theaters of combat operation to entertain service members deployed there.  Since its inception in 2003, the annual show has continued to delight service members and offer support for those who wear the uniform.

As a famous familiar face, Vince McMahon has traveled around the world, speaking to active duty service members.  Many of whom grew up watching Mr. McMahon, along with many of the stars who have participated in USO tours.  These appearances offer an incredible amount of support for service members in terms of boosting morale and showing support.

President Donald Trump has been a huge supporter of the military and veterans.  He ran his campaign on promises to do what he could to improve the VA and Armed Forces.  He has taken hard stances on several issues, including corruption within the VA and social issues plaguing the military.  As the commander-in-chief of the military, President Trump has made several appearances on military installations to address service members.

President Trump has remained outspoken with his support of the United States Armed Forces.  While some may not agree with his policies, he has always expressed his steadfast commitment to doing what’s in the best interest of the military community.  Not only that, but his family members have followed suit and met with military spouses to hear their concerns as well.  So far, the commander-in-chief has shown that he truly believes in service members.

Rock band KISS have been longtime supporters of the United States military.  They have been known to put on free performances for veterans and service members and handing out commemorative t-shirts to those in attendance. They have also teamed up with the Hiring Our Heroes campaign, which is a program aimed at helping veterans find employment once they are separated from the military.  This is an important task to take on, as many veterans often struggle to find employment due to a myriad of obstacles.

In addition to performing patriotic songs and visiting service members, lead rocker Gene Simmons has been very outspoken about his support for the military.  He’s been known to post touching tributes on his social media platforms and doesn’t waste an opportunity to show his support for the men and women in uniform.  It’s always heartwarming to see such “hardcore” rockers show their supportive sides!

Performer Wayne Newton has an impressive resume when it comes to supporting the military.  Throughout the years, the entertainer has made several stops around the globe in support of the United States Armed Forces.  Despite an unsuccessful attempt at joining the military (due to asthma) Wayne Newton decided to show his support for the military by way of music.  He began entertaining the troops when he twice traveled to Vietnam during the war.

For his service and dedication to the military, Wayne Newton received the honor of Chairman of the USO Celebrity Circle–a position only held by Bob Hope himself.  He has also received a Spirit of the USO award for his lifetime dedication to serving troops around the world. Wayne Newton has spent his life showing his support for the armed forces throughout more than one generation.  A true class act, indeed.
