Rhumbix – Empowering Construction’s Blue Collar Workforce
The vision for Rhumbix unfolded when Zach Scheel and his cofounder Drew DeWalt discussed challenges they were facing with data collection and productivity while they were working together on a large infrastructure project in a copper mine in that country. Bound as brothers from their shared service in the U.S. Navy, the interchange between these two friends from Stanford Business School circled back around to their time in the military, and the Blue Force tracking tool. Inspiration struck—and led them to create a mobile tool that helps workers build smarter, safer and more streamlined with their Field Intelligence Platform™, a cloud-based mobile workforce management solution that collects and digitizes data from previously paper-based workflows. This product is now used by more than a third of the top 20 builders in the United States underscoring why Rhumbix was ranked by Forbes as one of the top ten veteran startups in the country.
