It was Sunday morning; I was doing my routine scan of the social media postings. As usual there was plenty of the “Trump was bad”, “Biden is great” drivel. Almost to the point of Biden is wonderful because his favorite flower is edelweiss (that is Taras humor, the aware population will understand). There was a posting of an article that instantly caught my eye. “Biden inheriting nonexistent coronavirus vaccine distribution plan and must start ‘from scratch, ‘sources say.” By MJ Lee, CNN. Updated 5:08 P.M. Eastern time, Thursday 21, 2021.
The beginning statement of the article, “Newly sworn in President Joe Biden and his advisers are inheriting no coronavirus vaccine distribution plan to speak of from the Trump administration, sources tell CNN, posing a significant challenge for the new White House.”
It has not been a week since I drafted my article, “Think Critically, Learn to Identify Propaganda”. The “nonexistent coronavirus vaccine distribution plan” article appears, in my mind, to be a text book example of propaganda. In order to determine if I am correct, I did a simple Google search seeking the federal government COVID vaccine distribution plans under the Trump administration. Here is some of what I located in the first ten seconds, there is so much there that even Google censorship cannot hide it.
“From the Factory to the Frontlines the Operation Warp Speed Strategy for Distributing a COVID-19 Vaccine” The eleven-page document is a report drafted for and delivered to the United States Congress in 2020 by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. “This report to Congress details a strategy to achieve the principal purpose and objective of Operation Warp Speed (OWS): ensuring that every American who wants to receive a COVID-19 vaccine can receive one, by delivering safe and effective vaccine doses to the American people beginning January 2021.”
“COVID-19 Vaccination Program Interim Playbook for Jurisdiction Operations” This one is even better. It is a seventy-five-page master plan, drafted and promulgated October 29, 2020 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
There is plenty more information concerning the plan(s) for distribution of the COVID vaccines readily available to any who looks with their eyes open. I take back that I thought the CNN article was typical “propaganda”, it is much more, it is a flat out lie. The article plays upon the general ignorance of the American population. What is even worse is that people do not realize how offensive articles such as this are to the many thousands of hard-working federal government professional employees that were and are the actual people responsible for drafting and executing such programs in our country.
The American population does not seem to understand that a presidential administration gets to “appoint” a very small percentage of people to each government agency. The vast majority of the staff at those agencies are full time professionals who do their jobs no matter who is the Grand Poobah. A good example is the Department of Defense. When a General or Admiral is relieved, they do change out the Army, Air Force, Navy or Marine Corps service personnel who were under their command. When it comes to the COVID vaccine distribution, the federal government professionals within Health and Human Services and the other agencies are doing their jobs. The last thing they need are the propaganda mongrels of CNN and the other sham media outlets making their work more difficult.
