Wow! These Military Members Fail in Epic Fashion on Social Media

In this day and age social media connects the world like never before.  However, with this new found connectivity and the ability for people to build themselves platforms upon which to speak (just in case you didn’t know the truth – no one cares) comes the possibility to make grave errors that damage you and your employer’s reputation.

While no one supports the military like OpsLens, these particular individuals are just fools. See some of the most epic fails by military members on social media.  Prepare to be disappointed in humanity…

Army PFC Tariqka Sheffey found herself in the middle of a viral frenzy back in 2014, when she made an Instagram post bragging about deliberately ducking retreat by hiding in her vehicle. This blatant disrespect resulted in her chain of command taking disciplinary action.

Also found on PFC Sheffey’s Instagram was this gem. Not overly surprising considering the post that made her infamous within the military community. Upon discovery of her disparaging remarks, Sheffey made a video acknowledging her lapse in judgement, but stopped short of apologizing. Instead, she opted to thank her supporters. #EpicFail

Sure the picture quality sucks, and by the way that is not our fault, but this is a perfect example of what not to do. Improper wear of military uniforms mixed with this type of conduct is enough to keep the military community cringing all day. Nothing says gangster like a couple of privates and $300 in cash. #DoBetter

There may have been less sensitive and appalling things to do in the wake of the 2016 terror attack on the Orlando, Florida gay nightclub Pulse, but we sure can’t come up with many. This photo surfaced on Facebook following the attack.  This Marine was quickly identified and a command investigation was opened as the Marine Corps condemned his behavior.

Air Force Senior Airman Cherish Byers decided to take leave of her senses and military bearing and the result was disciplinary action with a side of embarrassment for Air Force officials. This kind of behavior might be typical of undisciplined privates, but certainly not a Senior Airman #YouKnowBetter #ShowSomeRespect

The wise words of of an idiot service member…

“All white girls are ugly without makeup”… “White people smell like wet dogs”…

Meet Ashanti F. Gordon. She embodies everything that a service member should not be. Her racist comments and disparaging remarks about the LGBT community are bad enough. She also expressed disgust with the uniform and veterans.
