Smith & Wesson M&P Bodyguard – CALIBER: .380 ACP: This is definitely one of our favorite CC weapons. The Bodyguard fits easily inside the waste band or even your pocket without hardly knowing its there. The weight (12.3 oz empty) and functionality scores are high. Like many other CC options, the Bodyguard only carries 6 + 1 in a less effective .380 ACP, but its features and price make it hard to ignore.

Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 38 with Crimson Trace – CALIBER: .38 Special +P: Want more of the Dragnet feel? The Smith and Wesson revolver version of the Bodyguard is a unique offering for concealed carry. Its .38 special rounds will make impact and its weight is only 14.3 oz empty, not too shabby. Revolvers aren’t for everyone, but if they are your jam, this may very well be your go to concealed carry weapon.

Kimber Solo Carry – CALIBER: 9mm: Kimber lovers here is an interesting option. The Solo Carry comes in under 20 oz at 17 empty and gives you a step up from .380 ACP with 6 + 1 9mm rounds. The firearm excels in many areas, but some will balk at the price which is just north of $1,200.

Walther CCP – CALIBER: 9mm: Fans of carrying 9mm will like the Walther CCP. Comparable in weight to the ever popular Glock 26, the CCP registers at 22 oz (empty). Its magazine carries less than the G26 at 8+1, but it remains a viable option. For many it will come down to brand preference, but we certainly think the CCP is worth consideration.

Sig Sauer P238 – CALIBER: .380 ACP: SIG is a fan favorite brand for firearms enthusiasts, to include the Naval Special Warfare Command – not a bad endorsement. While the P238 is a much smaller offering than many of SIG’s 200 series weapons, this CC option is certainly worth the look. At just over 15 oz and a capacity of 7+1 it will get the job done. However, as can often be the case with SIG, the price is a little steep compared to fellow .380 ACP options.

Glock 26 Gen 4 – CALIBER: 9mm: A staff favorite, the Glock 26 is among the strongest offerings in the 9mm CC market. With a reputable brand, endorsed by much of the US government, Glock provides gun enthusiasts a 9mm double stack option under 22 oz in the G26. The price is moderate, but still better than some and the reliability is strong. For an extended grip and extra round capacity, use Glock 19 magazines with a grip spacer. The weight will of course increase, but so too will its offerings.

Smith & Wesson M&P Shield – CALIBER: 9mm: Smith and Wesson comes strong with another offering in the M&P Shield. Its 9mm capacity (7+1) is less than the Glock 26, but as a result its weight is also less (20 oz). If you are a fan of S&W this may be a good option given its caliber and fair price point (under $450).
