20 of the Most Horrific Terrorist Attacks in Europe Since 2015

In April 2017, 3 teenage boys carried out a bombing on a Sikh temple in Essen, Germany.  The attack came during a wedding, injuring 3 guests.  There were no fatalities.  The building sustained damage and the front door was destroyed.  Upon release of surveillance images, one of the suspects turned himself in.  The others were eventually arrested and put on trial.

It was learned that the boys were radicalized Muslims with links to ultra-conservative groups.  The teens had constructed the bomb themselves, which was made out of a fire extinguisher packed with explosives.  They were put on trial and found guilty of multiple charges including attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.  The prosecution argued that the radical teens carried out the attack because they believed Sikhs to be non-believers.  They were given sentences of 6 and 7 years respectively and sent to juvenile detention.
